Authentication

Create an API key in Setup › APIs & Webhooks, choose what it may do for each resource, then send it as a bearer token. Keys start pk_live_ or pk_test_.

Each endpoint needs one scope, shown on its reference entry. A key without that scope gets a 403 with the code api_scope_missing.

Updates and retries

Updates can take the version you read in an If-Match header, and a stale version gets a 409 with the code version_conflict. Endpoints that accept an Idempotency-Key header return the first result when you retry with the same key.
